The Aquila Club - Sussex
About The Aquila Club
Set in the Historic Spread Eagle Hotel which dates back in parts to 1430. The hotel was originally a coaching inn to the visiting aristocracy. Walking through the hotel is like a journey in time, with its 14th century lounge, warmed by huge fire places and Tudor bread ovens, above which is the Queen’s room, said to have accommodated Elizabeth I . Through the sentried hallway you reach the restaurant with its inglenook fireplace.

Set in the historic town of Midhurst, the hotel has a close association with Cowdray Park Polo, and Goodwood racecourse, for the equestrian-minded.

Beneath its vaulted ceiling there's everything from a pool to a sauna, steam room and hot tub. There's also a fully equipped gym and a beauty centre where trained staff are waiting to help you get the most from your session.
