"KuBu" is a Balinese word that depicts a 'small hut' and is also the name of a secret beach known only to a select few. KuBu spa is the brainchild of Eileen Soriton, a wonderful masssage therapist of Indonesian descent specialising in Balinese Spa Rituals. Together with business partner Sasha Becejac, the pair have created the hottest destination in the UK for a truly genuine Balinese experience.
Contemporary yet filled with history, KuBu offers exclusive pampering in a beautiful listed building, which has been redesigned using dark wood walnut flooring, 100 year old Javanese Teak wood furniture and a ceiling lined with suspended boat sails, giving one a feeling of literally floating away.
KuBu feels like a cocoon yet is spacious at the same time. The KuBu 'sense experience' extends to every part of the fantastic 2000sq ft premises with the use of tactile natural materials such as wood and stone, a subtle yet striking natural colour palette and Javanese antique furniture. The treatment suites are extremely generous spaces, each hosting a beautiful free-standing bath for post-treatment flower petal soaks. The luxury extends to the relaxation room, where you can de-stress before and after a treatment on loungers and a four-poster antique Javanese day bed.
Along with the splendid decor, the real secret to the amazing experience which you receive at KuBu are the expert massage therapists and the wonderful organic products which they use, all of which are hand made for KuBu in Bali. In addition to their own products, KuBu also stocks 'Lavera'. Lavera is a complete range of natural face and body products with organic ingredients, made without manmade chemicals such as parabens, synthetic preservatives, colours or fragrances. |
